Like Musk, I am an entrepreneur and a bit of a narcissist, so I can say with some certainty that I think there are some nuances to his behavior that I don't think an expert economist would necessarily understand. A lot of your critiques can be rationalized in many ways. Though, since I am not a Musk mind-reader, I don't know if those rationalizations are true or not.

As an unbiased observer of Musk and this article and its comments, big applause to you, Asger. For maintaining a civil discourse despite the unnecessary attempts to the create opposite. I personally think you make a lot of great points, and your expertise in economics really shows in this article. Your writing style is quite approachable to a layman like me.

I encourage you to continue giving definitions for economist jargon as you did with the term 'moat.' With so many passive funds (another term I learned recently!) getting their start, it is so important to have communicators like you involved in informing people like me. Whether you're right or wrong is not for me to know. But, reading your article gave me a glimpse into how an economist thinks. I think that's what I found most valuable in this article.
